Heya.

THERESA MONAHON

CREATIVE DIRECTION + VISUAL DESIGN

My love for design first took seed while scouring every Vogue and Elle magazine I could get my hands on in the small town of Aiken, SC. In my teens, I lived for Marc Jacob’s Perry Ellis collections and idolized Tom Ford's Gucci reign. In college, I applied my love of fashion and design to studying fashion photography at Savannah College of Art and Design. But by senior year I realized pairing words with imagery could be that much more powerful. And that's when I made the leap to the world of graphic design.

After graduation I moved to the ATL, working on a variety of clients ranging from Coca-cola to Verizon - all while working side hustle of rave flyers and nightlife websites. As one of the original creatives at Moxie Interactive I helped launch multiple campaigns for Verizon Wireless and then went on to sharpen my programming skills building sites for Powerade and AT&T. In 2009 I moved toNYC, joining the digital arm of Mcgarrybowen and was privileged enough to play a role in large scale projects that lent to winning Agency of the Year in 2009 and no. 2 in 2010. Next I made my way to KBS+ in an integrated role on Harman Kardon, JBL, AKG, and BMW. I dove deep into social-first at Vaynermedia thereafter on Dove, Coach and too many additional to count.

Currently I'm at TBWA/Chiat Day overseeing the social/digital Nissan business. My expertise is in experiential, event marketing, content creation and all things social and media related. I enjoy craft stories and social experiences through innovation that have real impact.
When I'm not crafting ad magic, I travel extensively in Europe covering festivals and integrating my love of music into my world adventures.
